This week seemed to flow a lot better as the warm up, main session and ending game for filled their targeted time frame on the session plan. As the smaller hall wasn’t available we did well to adapt the session within the space. An example would be that in the warm up of traffic lights the participants tended to run around the whole hall, but the aim of it was to integrate dodging and passing so we instructed them to stay in a marked area which gave them more competition.
Further strengths of the session were that we introduced the technique of dodging through competitive and tactical games, and we added progressions to the final game seen as this was a weakness last week.
Weaknesses and barriers of this week were that the participants tend to have a short attention span and find it hard to either delegate situations were they are asked for their input, and when informed with information and tactics of the game they forget it soon after. But to resolve this through coaching a more democratic coaching style were the participants get the chance to peer coach and solve situations.
