Thanks for that Oliver.
Also…..
We can’t do an assembly as we had hoped on Tues 8th Jan. Exam desks will be out in both of the halls and there is another assembly taking place in the PE dept. What I suggest is that I will get some flyers out during that 1st week back and the PE dept will help promote the club. So we can do all the other promotional stuff except the assembly.
Any other ideas, let me know.
Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Hope you had a good christmas!
So please tell me if i’m wrong but I believe we will be doing out first session on Thursday 17th at lunchtime? As we cant come in and talk in an assembly if you could promote it as you said that would be great.
Thanks,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
Lovely Xmas thanks! Back to it now!! I’ll let the kids know and yes it starts next Thursday lunchtime. If you can be here for a 12.55 start, just in case we have any that come straight over from their lesson, that would be great.
See you next week,
Helen

Hi Helen,
We are looking forward to starting the sessions on thursday.
We were wondering if it was possible to come to the school on wednesday
to have a quick look at the sports hall again. Would this be possible?

Oliver

Subject: Meeting
Hi Helen,
Thursdays 1st session went really well. I believe we had 14
participants, which although we would love to have more by the end we
thought was a good start.
Are you at the school this thursday, because if possible we would like
to have a meeting to go over a few ideas, and it makes sense to do it
whilst we are at the school. If not then could we arrange another day?
Thanks,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
I have updated the screen with the new poster!
I gather that we were low on numbers yesterday?
Way forward?
Let’s do a session in lesson time. If the uni team can come in to
showcase and deliver/ get participants involved (alongside you guys)
that would be great.
I know it’s getting towards the end of our project but next week is a
bit short notice and then it’s half term.
How about week beginning Monday 25th Feb hitting the following lessons
(if the uni team and your team can give up this much time?)
Yr 8 group 1 – Tuesday 26th Feb 10.55 – 11.55 OR Wednesday 27th Feb 8.40
– 9.40am
Yr 8 group 2 – Weds 27th Feb 11.55 – 12.55 OR Thurs 28th Feb 10.55 –
11.55
Yr 9 group 1 – Thurs 28th Feb 8.40 – 9.40 OR Fri 1st March 10.55 – 11.55
Yr 9 group 2 – Weds 27th Feb 1.35 – 2.35 OR Fri 1st March 11.55 – 12.55
This is when each group gets their PE lessons. We would need to try and
do 1 lesson for each group.
We obviously need to talk about this some more but have a chat with the
group and the team before we meet. Can you come for a meeting on Weds
next week? I will be free from 8.30 – 3pm?
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Yep that sounds like a great idea.
I can come to the school at half 2 on wednesday to meet if thats good?
I’ve shown the rest of the group and they agree its a good idea, and after wednesday when we have agreed which sessions I will contact the dodgeball team.
Thanks,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
After our meeting the other day, I had more thoughts on the students
going to the showroom.
After looking through my diary again I don’t think it’s going to be
possible for us to go to the showroom on Thurs 7th March.
Next term is an incredibly busy term for staff and the PE dept have a
heavy fixtures term and after school meeting commitments and I feel that
the activity at the showroom is a step too far. With all the curriculum
time ‘showcases’ that are going to be going on, can w/b 25th March not
be your competition/ showcase week?
I don’t like to change things but I think I need to this time.
Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Yep we can definately change the date if its needed. So we would be looking at the 28th march then?
So all the dates for the pe sessions are still ok? Ive been in contact with the dodgeball team and they seem very keen to help out so that is looking good.
Thanks,
Oliver

Hi oliver
Sorry i wasn’t clear and i got a date wrong!
All dates are correct for the pe lesson sessions w/b 25th feb. What i meant to say was can this week not be your showcase week with all the sessions that you’re doing for the kids in school time? I think it will be a great showcase just having the team in school so i think we need to leave the showroom idea completely.
We are really pushed for time.
Hope that makes a bit more sense.

Hi Helen,
Sorry i misunderstood you…yer i spoke to some of the group members today and they are happy to leave the showroom idea and just use the pe lessons in school as the showcases. This way may actually be better as its asking a little less of the dodgeball society.
We look forward to all the sessions next week.
Thanks,
Oliver
